A selection of opera legend Marian Anderson's most memorable pieces woven together with spoken word, which explores  the challenges of African American performers and more broadly, race in America. This work, written by playwright Tom Minter, highlights the impact on those behind Ms. Anderson, specifically  the formidable Leontyne Price.

Laree joins Leah Hawkins, soprano (Leontyne Price / Narrator) and pianist,

Dana Kristina-Joi Morgan, to explore this powerful and uplifting work commissioned by Washington National Opera.
